What Do You Want Your Rainmaker To Do?
Too often the job descriptions that companies post go on 'ad nauseum' about what they want the ideal candidate to have:
A degree in marketing or business
5 years experience with a particular type of company
No more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years
You get the idea.
What they should be describing is what they want the ideal candidate to DO for them, and what they want them to HAVE DONE in their past. During the interview, the questions should be designed to draw that information out layer by layer. Click here to read a great article called 'Peeling the Onion'
